Spokane South Hill Home Remodel

Spokane South Hill Home Remodel

In the beginning of 2019, we wrapped up our remodel on a Spokane Home that needed extensive renovation. At a first glance, the house was dated. Much of the floorplan, particularly in the basement, lacked flow and was tricky to navigate. By the end of the project, we completely renovated the existing home & basement, built out a master addition, and added a guest suite to the bottom level of the house. The house’s original design was preserved, maintaining its midcentury architecture and appeal. The suite in the basement was also built as a completely separate space to either be rented out or used as a mother-in-law suite.

Master Addition – Bedroom and En Suite Bathroom

As part of the project, we built out a new wing of the home to add a mudroom, powder room, and the master suite. We even extended the deck to wrap around it. The hardwood vinyl flooring matched the coal gray back wall & sconces. The en suite bathroom was a highlight for us as we really brought out contemporary features in the space. LED trim lighting, raised basin sinks, and a wall-mount toilet were some of these features. Another cool aspect was the hardwood style wall tiles.

Special Features

We had a lot of design input on some of the details that we were very pleased with. Among much of that was the manufacturing of several walnut finish pieces in our own shop. With a sleek antique stain, the walnut color really popped and stands out as a defining feature of much of the finished design. The use of barn doors and lighting also helped create a modern spin on the old midcentury design.
